Grenzhof is now run by the fourth generation of the Kaiser family. From its beginnings as a village inn, the family has developed Grenzhof into a highly regarded restaurant known far beyond Heidelberg. The former guest rooms have been transformed into a comfortable boutique hotel.\nUlrike Kugler-Oestergaard, n\u00e9e Kaiser, and Robert Kaiser continue to shape Grenzhof\u2019s distinctive identity while successfully carrying on the family tradition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Michelin-Starred Chef<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sebastian Andr\u00e9e<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Sebastian Andr\u00e9e comes from Passau in Bavaria. He trained at Karl Ederer\u2019s Michelin-starred gourmet restaurant \u201cGlockenbach\u201d. His career quickly took him to renowned establishments including \u201cChesa Pirani\u201d in Switzerland, working with Daniel Bumann, and the Bareiss in Baiersbronn with Peter Lumpp \u2013 both awarded two Michelin stars.\nIn 2010, he earned his first Michelin star as Head Chef at \u201cDie Wutzschleife\u201d in R\u00f6tz-Hillstett, and later another at \u201cSe7en Oceans\u201d in Hamburg. It was there that Ulrike Kugler-Oestergaard and Christian Kugler discovered his talent. It soon became clear that he was an ideal fit for Grenzhof.\nThe pressure of retaining a Michelin star, combined with his desire to start a family, made the decision an easy one \u2013 and proved to be a stroke of good fortune for Grenzhof. Since May 2014, he has led the hotel\u2019s kitchen with passion and dedication.<\/p>\n\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n
