The Kastanienhof at Grenzhof – More than just a beer garden in Heidelberg

The Kastanienhof, one of the most beautiful beer gardens in Heidelberg, has a very special charm all of its own at any time of year. In spring, the twittering of bird and the first rays of sunshine draw conference guests and private guests outside. In our secluded beer garden, the first few warm days are particularly charming: in the shade of the red-blossoming chestnut trees, surrounded by sandstone barns, blossoming oleander, scented roses and a gentle breeze. In summer, connoisseurs from Heidelberg, Mannheim and the surrounding area relax with delicious food and select wines. A leisurely way to finishing the day in a beautiful, idyllic setting with a glass of Hugo or Crémant. Guests also enjoy sitting in our chestnut tree garden under the colourful leaf canopy in late summer and autumn, wrapped in a fleece blanket with a nice cup of coffee or a fine tea from Ronnefeldt. In winter, when everything at Grenzhof is covered in a romantic layer of snow and decorated for Christmas, our guests can warm up with a glass of mulled wine or red wine punch. This is accompanied by bonbons and fruit bread from our own bakery, made by our senior chef Ms Kaiser.

The Kastanienhof is the outdoor area of the Gutsstube restaurant and is only open when the weather is nice.
